Watch The Sky

I lay in the grass
Where the cherry trees grow,
And watch the moon and stars

From below.

The world is silent,
For no one knows I'm there.
But no one is looking,
Because no one cares.

But that is best
For what I have done,
The world without me
Has finally won.

Soon I will live
Among the stars,
And light the world
I love from a far.

Because there are greater things
I am destined to do,
Things that are far more
Greater than you.

The stars look upon this world
With distress.
How could something so beautiful
Become such a mess?

My time has come,
Now I must leave,
Because this human life
Has become but a dream.

I lay and wait
For my time to come,
Wait for the stars
To bring me back to where I'm from.

I will watch you all
From my place in the sky,
Watch you live, grow,
Love and fly.

If you ever need me
I'll be by your side,
All you have to do
Is watch the sky.
