Darkness Falls

Darkness falls across the skies
When the world is corrupt
And full of lies

Darkness falls when good men deceive
When the desire for power
Becomes more powerful to achieve

Darkness falls when men are greedy
When children are hungry
And our cities are seedy

Darkness falls when women lose their rights
When we have no choice
But to live without a fight

Darkness falls when strong men weep
When they've gone too far
And dug too deep

Darkness falls when love is forbidden
When hate takes over
And your heart is overridden

Darkness falls when history is repeated
When we make the same mistakes
We become defeated

Darkness falls on this toxic society
When we've become so lost
We can only rely on an invisible deity

Darkness falls on this hollow land
And there is no light bright enough
To fix where we stand

Darkness falls when the world ends
When there nothing left
For humanity to mend

Darkness falls when there's no one left to save us
When humanity has lost
And there's no one left to trust

Darkness has fallen on this broken country
and there's nothing we can do
Because we don't have the money

Darkness has fallen because rich men lie
They keep it to themselves
And allow the rest of us to die

Darkness has fallen
A new plague arrived
And we have no choice
We must fight to stay alive
